Tuesdays 4-4:30, June 2-July 7
Ages: 10+
$45 for 6-week session

Join us for this introduction to all the creative work that goes into writing a new show. Students will brainstorm as a group for Play School Presents' next script. Then students can work on projects of their own choosing, appropriate to their age and experience level, following new prompts in class. They may choose to work on their own or in groups learning writing, directing, and how to visualize what's needed on stage. Students have the option of presenting new scenes, parodies or monologues in our July recital (they will need to work outside of class to prepare for recital if they choose to).

As we make progress on our new show ideas, students also have the option of working at home on proposed new scenes for the next script that they can share with the class.   (This 6-week introductory Creative Workshop session will be followed by a new Writers Workshop class session in July/August that will write new scenes for the final play idea.)
